Reviewing an itemized implant treatment estimate at MSD Dental Studio, Coral Springs

If you’ve searched for implant pricing, you’ve seen the ads: a single low number, an asterisk, and a very different figure once you’re in the chair. We’d rather explain how implant pricing actually works, so you can evaluate any quote — including ours.

An implant is three parts, not one

What people call “an implant” is really three components: the implant itself (the titanium root), the abutment (the connector), and the crown (the tooth you see). A quoted price that covers only the first part is not a price for a new tooth.

A complete price for a new tooth includes all three parts — plus any site work below.
Part of the priceWhat it isIn every complete quote?
Implant postThe titanium root placed in the boneYes
AbutmentThe connector between post and crownYes
CrownThe visible tooth on topYes
ExtractionRemoving a failing tooth firstOnly if needed
Bone graftRebuilding lost bone to anchor the implantOnly if needed
SedationComfort option during placementOptional

The site work is the real variable

The biggest driver of cost is what the site needs before the implant. A tooth that has to come out first adds an extraction. Bone that has shrunk — common when a tooth has been missing a while — may need grafting to hold the implant securely. These aren’t upsells; they’re the difference between an implant that lasts decades and one that fails. A CBCT 3D scan shows all of this before anything begins, which is why we scan at the consultation, not after.

Why we don’t publish one number

Because it would mislead you in one direction or the other. A straightforward single implant and a case needing extraction and grafting are honestly different procedures. What we do instead: your implant consultation is complimentary, includes the 3D scan, and ends with an itemized, all-in figure — implant, abutment, crown, and any site work — before you commit to anything. No surprise line items, ever.

How to read any implant quote

Use this to compare offices fairly — including us. A trustworthy quote survives every one of these questions:

  • Does the price include the abutment and crown, or only the post?
  • Is site work (extraction, graft) included or extra, and how was that decided?
  • Was it planned on a 3D scan or estimated freehand?
  • What implant and crown materials are used, and by which lab?
  • Is there a written, itemized estimate you can take with you?

Ways to make it affordable

We offer financing options and an in-house membership plan that reduces treatment costs for patients without insurance. Insurance sometimes contributes toward parts of implant treatment (the crown, the extraction); we check your benefits before treatment so you know what’s covered.

Common misconceptions

  • “That $X ad is the price of a new tooth.” Usually it’s the post only — the abutment, crown, and site work come after.
  • “A bone graft is an upsell.” It’s the difference between an implant that lasts and one that fails, and the 3D scan shows whether you truly need it.
  • “The cheapest quote is the best deal.” Only if it’s all-in and well-planned. Compare complete numbers, not headlines.
  • “Implants are always the priciest, so skip them.” Over years, an implant can be the better value than repeatedly replacing a bridge — but not always. We’ll do the math with you.

Why patients trust MSD on pricing

  • Itemized, all-in figures — implant, abutment, crown, and any site work — before you commit.
  • 3D-scan planning so the estimate reflects your actual anatomy, not a guess.
  • No headline-and-asterisk games, and an honest read on when a bridge or denture is the better value.
  • Financing and membership, in English & Spanish, for patients across North Broward.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Medically reviewed for accuracy by Dr. Matthew Dillon, DDS, MAGD, FICOI · Updated July 2026 · Editorial policy.

How much does a single dental implant cost in Coral Springs?

It depends on whether the site needs an extraction or bone graft first, and on the abutment and crown your case calls for. Beware single-number ads that cover only the titanium post. At MSD Dental Studio the consultation is complimentary and ends with an itemized, all-in price before treatment begins.

Why do implant prices vary so much between offices?

Quotes differ in what they include (post only vs. post + abutment + crown), the planning behind them (3D-guided vs. freehand), and the materials and lab. Ask any office to itemize — a trustworthy quote survives itemization.

Does dental insurance cover implants?

Often partially — plans more commonly contribute to the crown or the extraction than the implant itself. We verify your specific benefits before treatment so there are no surprises.

Is a cheap implant a bad implant?

Not necessarily — but a low headline price usually means the abutment, crown, or site work is priced separately. Compare all-in numbers, and ask how the case will be planned. Placement accuracy affects long-term success more than brand names do.

What's included in an all-in implant price?

A complete price for a new tooth includes the implant post, the abutment, and the crown — plus any site work your case needs, such as an extraction or bone graft. Ask every office whether all of these are in the number.

Why do the ads show such a low number?

The headline figure usually covers only the titanium post, with an asterisk. The abutment, crown, and any extraction or grafting are added once you're in the chair. That's why we explain the whole picture up front instead.

Do I need a bone graft, and how much does it add?

Only if the site has lost bone, which is common when a tooth has been missing a while. A graft is added, planned work — not an upsell — and the 3D scan shows exactly whether you need one before any number is quoted.

How much does All-on-X or full-arch cost?

Full-arch is a larger investment that varies with the number of implants, extractions or grafting, and the bridge material. See our All-on-X page, and get an itemized figure at a complimentary consult.

Can I finance dental implants?

Yes. We offer financing options and an in-house membership plan that reduces treatment costs for patients without insurance. We'll walk you through what fits your budget.

Are implants worth the cost compared to a bridge or denture?

Often yes over the long run — an implant preserves bone, doesn't touch neighboring teeth, and can last decades. But a bridge or denture may be the better value for some cases and budgets, and we'll compare them honestly rather than steer you to the priciest option.

Will you give me the price before treatment?

Always. Your consultation is complimentary, includes a 3D scan, and ends with an itemized, all-in figure — implant, abutment, crown, and any site work — before you commit to anything.
