Named to the national ‘40 Under 40’ list
Dr. Matthew Dillon was selected by an independent panel of judges for Incisal Edge’s national “40 Under 40” list for 2026, which recognizes dentists across the country in the early part of their careers. Coral Springs Talk covered the selection locally and spoke with Dr. Dillon about building a practice in South Florida, why patients are arriving better informed than they used to, and what he thinks people should actually pay attention to when choosing a dentist.

Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry
Dr. Dillon received the MAGD at the AGD Convocation on June 27, 2026. It requires more than 1,100 hours of continuing education, the majority of it hands-on, and is held by fewer than 2% of general dentists in the country. He had previously earned his Fellowship (FAGD) in the same academy.

Volunteering, most weeks, with the big dogs
Dr. Dillon volunteers weekly at the Humane Society of Broward County, usually bathing the larger dogs — shepherds, retrievers, pit bulls. As he told Coral Springs Talk: “Most people there don’t even know I’m a dentist; they just see me as the guy wrestling the big dogs into the tub.” The practice also supports the shelter through fundraising.

Chamber ribbon-cutting and grand opening
The Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce led a ribbon-cutting for the practice on February 13, 2025, with City Commissioner Joe McHugh on hand. MSD is named for its two owners — Matthew, Shantall, Dillon — a husband-and-wife team who built the office from an empty suite.
