How we write

Our goal is to be the clearest, most honest explanation of a dental question — not to sell a procedure. Every clinical page follows the same shape: the patient’s question, a direct answer, the variables that make it “it depends,” how we evaluate it at MSD, the real options and trade-offs, the limitations and risks, and a calm next step. We write for a worried patient first.

Clinical review

Clinical content on this site — service pages, procedure explanations, and health articles — is reviewed for accuracy by a treating dentist at MSD Dental Studio before it’s published, and again when it’s materially updated. Our reviewing doctors are:

• Dr. Matthew Dillon, DDS, MAGD, FICOI — general dentist; Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry, Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, advanced training at the Kois Center. Reviews restorative, implant, full-arch, emergency, and diagnostic content.
• Dr. Shantall Di Loreto, DDS — general dentist; orthodontic training through Progressive Orthodontics, advanced training at the Kois Center. Reviews preventive, hygiene, cosmetic, and clear-aligner content.

Pages that have been clinically reviewed show a “Medically reviewed by…” line with the reviewing doctor and the review date.

Accuracy, evidence, and sources

We aim to reflect current, evidence-based dentistry. Where we make a general medical claim, we point to authoritative sources such as the American Dental Association, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or relevant specialty organizations. We distinguish between established evidence, our clinical judgment, and the individual variation that means your case may differ. We don’t publish unverified statistics or promise specific outcomes.

Updates and review dates

We update pages when the clinical guidance, our process, our materials, or the facts change — not on a mechanical schedule. When we make a meaningful update, we refresh the “updated” and “reviewed” dates so you can see how current a page is.

Corrections

If you spot something that seems inaccurate or out of date, please tell us at admin@msddentalstudio.com or call or text 754-240-4820. We review reports promptly, correct genuine errors, and update the review date when we do.

Photos and patient cases

The photography on this site is original to our practice. Any before-and-after images or patient stories are published only with the patient’s written consent, and we never share protected health information without permission.

Medical disclaimer

When to seek urgent care

Some situations shouldn’t wait for a web page. Call us the same day for severe or worsening tooth pain, a knocked-out tooth, facial or gum swelling, or bleeding that won’t stop. Go to an emergency room or call 911 for trouble breathing or swallowing, swelling spreading toward the eye or throat, uncontrolled bleeding, or a serious facial injury.
